Research Projects
In addition to our work within film, art and music, we also serve on sound research projects for any kind of industry and application.
Passionate about sound in all its forms and facets, we love to research, design and develop tailor-made solutions both hardware and software. We have worked with a large number of industries, most recently consulting and developing a dedicated sound project for Italian car manufacturer Ferrari.
Spherical Sound
Intrigued by the expressive power of sound, we developed our own immersive audio recording system. Michelangelo Antonioni’s 2004 short film Michelangelo Eye to Eye was the first film to be made with Spherical Sound and has since been used in many national and international productions.
Originally a 3D-system applied to Dolby Surround 5.1, it has been modified into a highly flexible multidimensional recording system applicable to Dolby Atmos™ and other systems such as AuroMax and Sony 360.
Connessioni
We co-created a unique technology that connects key locations of our medieval village – the castle, the church, the theater, the main square and the municipal garden – directly to the control room in our studio: Connessioni (connections).
Connessioni is an innovative tool to realize multi-venue audiovisual shows and ubiquitous live recordings.
Interactive Media
With advancements in technology changing the way we are discovering and listening to music, we partner with industry pioneers in providing content for a new standard in interactive media Myxstem is a new format that empowers fans to completely control the listening experience by adjusting levels of each instrument to solo, mute, pan, loop and access lyrics in a fun and immersive way, similar to being at the mixing board of a recording studio, an interactive way to experience music.
