Research Projects
In addition to our work within cinema, music and art, we also develop and conduct sound research projects for all kinds of industries and applications.
Passionate about sound in all its forms and facets, we love to explore, design and create tailor-made solutions for both hardware and software. We have worked with a variety of institutes and businesses, most recently consulting and developing a specialised sound project for car manufacturer Ferrari.
Spherical Sound
Intrigued by the expressiveness of sound, we developed our own system for immersive audio recordings. In 2004, Michelangelo Antonioni’s short film Michelangelo Eye to Eye was the first film made with our Spherical Sound® and has since been used in many national and international film productions.
Originally a 3D system for Dolby Surround 5.1, it has since been modified into a highly flexible multi-dimensional recording unit applicable to Dolby Atmos™ and other systems such as APX AuroMax® and Sony 360 RA.
Connessioni®
The whole town is a stage: We have co-created a unique technology that connects key locations of our medieval village directly to the studio via fibre optics cable: the castle, the church, the theatre, the main square and the municipal garden can thus be used as performance or recording spaces.
Connessioni® is an innovative tool to realise multi-venue audiovisual shows and ubiquitous live recordings.

With advancements in technology changing the way we are discovering and listening to music, we partner with industry pioneers in providing content for a new standard in interactive media.
myxstem is a new format that empowers users to completely control their listening experience by adjusting levels of each audio track to solo, mute, pan, loop and access lyrics in a fun and immersive way, similar to being at the mixing board of a recording studio.
